The beautiful surrounding countryside offers excellent walking and cycling (cycle hire nearby) as well as golf, fishing, canoeing and riding. Historic Ross-on-Wye is only 3 miles and Hereford, with its cathedral and renowned Mappa Mundi, is 18 miles. Shop/post office 1 mile, pub serving food 100 yards.
