Up the stairs, on to the galleried landing, you will find the master bedroom with a lovely four poster bed, large shower room with heated towel rail and a further double bedroom. Statement lighting upstairs along with some quirky touches brings the old and new together wonderfully. Outside is a large shared garden which is beautifully maintained by the owner as well as a private parking space and visitor parking.
Just 25 minutes from the M5, Southend Mews is in a wonderful location. Chard is known for being the birthplace of powered flight. There are many shops, pubs and restaurants in the town that are well worth a visit, the museum is a hotbed of local knowledge with history dating back over a 1000 years. For those who like to walk there are wonderful routes all around. The local reservoir is a haven for wildlife and walks, as is Cricket St Thomas, a 1000-acre estate with perfectly manicured grounds to enjoy. The beaches of Lyme Regis, Charmouth, West Bay and Seaton can be reached in under 30 minutes, head down in the evening for a sunset stroll and have a lovely meal on the seafront. Beach 12 miles. Shop and restaurant 500 yards, pub 170 yards.
