Holt is a beautiful Georgian market town on the North Norfolk Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with sandy beaches and a wealth of RSPB nature and bird reserves within a short drive. Freshwater fishing is available at Letheringsett (license required, at cost). A short drive is the Norfolk coastline where Wells-next-the-Sea, Sheringham and Cromer offer excellent sandy beaches. Enjoy cycling along quiet lanes, trails and excellent walking at Holt Lowes, ¼ mile, comprising 200 acres of wood and heathland, Gas Hill and Spout Hill walking trails. Visit the famous Blakeney Quay and Cley-next-the-Sea for RSPB marsh reserve and coastal path. Also not to be missed, take a boat trip to the nature reserve island and colony of basking seals from Morston Quay. Norwich and Norfolk Broads are within an hour’s drive. Beach 7 miles.
