Property Description

Culbin House in Nairn is named after the nearby Culbin Forest and Culbin Sands, which are only a short walk away. The detached house is a beautifully designed and finished modern build with natural light streaming into every room. It’s a perfect holiday property for a family or group of friends wanting to explore Nairn and its surrounding area along the coast, but also Inverness, Cawdor Castle and Brodie Castle, as well as Culloden, Loch Ness and the Cairngorms National Park.

The Culbin Forest and Culbin Sands closer to home make for many worthwhile adventures. The forest has the Hill 99 Trail which is simply glorious. It takes in a climb to the top of a high wooden tower, affording views across the RSPB reserve at Culbin Sands to the hills across the Moray Firth and also south to the Cairngorms National Park. Culbin Sands makes for a very special excursion, with it being an RSPB reserve, yet within easy walking distance. It is perfect to get away from it all and spot some amazing wildlife. Walking and bike trails can be accessed direct from Culbin House.

When not out exploring the surrounds of Nairn, the town centre itself is charming. This historical, seaside town is one of the sunniest places in Scotland. Popular in the 19th century, the Victorians visited in huge numbers to bathe in the sea waters, believed to have beneficial medical properties. The architecture of Nairn is therefore Victorian and is a joy to wander around and explore. There are many lovely and highly recommend places to eat and drink.

Nairn is also well known for its two fantastic championship links courses with Castle Stuart Golf Links being only a few miles down the road. If you’re a golfer wanting to try your game up against the Scottish game, this is the location to do just that.

The accommodation itself is finished to a very high luxurious standard. You enter the house into a spacious porch, ideal for boots and coats, which then leads to a hallway. From the hallway you flow directly into the wonderful, modern kitchen which is open plan with the living room, dining room and beautiful sun room. The sun room leads out to the enclosed garden, perfect for young children to play away their days. The kitchen has a large utility room attached. The open plan living space is the hub of this home and where you will spend most of your time enjoying the space and planning your next adventures. In the hallway there’s a downstairs toilet and the stairs leading to the first floor. There are four double bedrooms with the master having en-suite facilities, and a large family bathroom. Each bedroom has been tastefully decorated and furnished.

Culbin House is simply a perfect place to spend a week and explore this part of Scotland and easily see a little further afield as well. There aren’t many properties more suited to a family holiday in Scotland. Beach 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
